actually I was watching random vids on Tudou..
and I finally haha clicked on this series of drama which have a very..
boring chinese name =O
灿烂的遗产
(sounds boring right?)

LOL
it sounds so straight to the point..
and with 遗产 sounds so hongkong drama-ish xD
so I was kind of skeptical when I clicked on it
keke~

BUT.
lo and behold!

in fact, its like =// hahahaha much more interesting!
the title doesnt serve it justice xDDDDDD

its actually titled..
(bang! theres so many names lol)
I think Shining Inheritance is the more commonly used though..

the plot is as usual dramatic =3=
and its kind of complicated hahaha
but I think the actors are rather good yo~
and actually the plot is not thatttt typical anyway hoh :D\

the synopsis at wiki says:

Go Eun Sung's life is similar to Cinderella's. After her father died, her step-mother, Baek Sung Hee, took away all of her assets and her younger brother, Eun Woo, suddenly disappears without a trace. Despite this, Eun Sung preservers and works really hard to fulfill her dreams. When the CEO of a food company, Jang Sook Ja, suffers amnesia and can't remember who she is Eun Sung takes her in. However, Eun Sung does not know that she is the grandmother of Sun Woo Hwan, the man who she switched bags with at the airport. How will their constant bickering lead them to realize that they care more about each other than they let on?

actually hmm... ok lets make this easier to read now :D

Well, this drama is revolved around the inheritance as suggested by the title.. but actually the inheritance to me doesn’t play a major role much (in the case of the two main actors Woohwan and Eunsung)… However, it’s like a major thing to like other people and of course this is where some of the wicked things and people appear.

The inheritance comes in when the grandma actually decides that none of her grandchildren or her daughter-in-law deserves to inherit the stuff she has because they have become selfish and uncaring people who will probably spend the money... on nothing but themselves. So before she makes any major decision, she actually likes to disguise herself to remind herself of her hard days when she was younger... and so she does just that. =]

During the disguise, she is reminded of her deceased son and accidentally injures herself =/ on the other hand Eunsung who has just lost about everything in her life was selling dumplings and giving out flyers to her customers to find her lost brother who is mentally retarded (like sick? not the funny kind of retarded –O-). Then by chance, she finds the grandma! She then brings her to the hospital etc and voila the grandma has amnesia -_- and then in spite of her personal situation, Eunsung takes care of the grandma (and its really quite sweet during those moments) and when the grandma regains her memory, she becomes slightly difficult well maybe to test Eunsung but Eunsung refuses to abandon her and tries to make her comfortable with all her available means. The grandma is touched by Eunsung, so am I!

She actually lost this very important job interview (actually the well the grandma’s the director of the company so its actually quite dotting) because she sent the grandma to the hospital and she was really sad.

“So you want to throw me out now?”
“How can I ever throw you out? Knowing that Eunwoo is out there, all alone without family too? How can I throw you out when I know how it feels to be alone?”

or something like that but yah it was a lot of tension, tears and drama but it was a good scene, serious. Kudos! =] I love the grandma.

She believes that the lives of over 1000 of her employees is much more important than to provide for her descendants and so with great determination, she decides that she doesn't want to take the risk to give it to him just because he is her grandson. Also, she was influenced by her past when she just started out. With her incompetent husband(I guess), since she had to like carry her son on her back while she worked. She was very thankful to the lady boss of this soup kitchen (restaurant) that she was working at because she allowed her to work there despite the fact that her son was following her and in fact when the lady boss died, she gave the shop to her. She was no relative of the owner but she inherited the shop nevertheless and because of that, she then had the basis for her business which then became the huge company she owns. She thus values helping people very much because she really knows how much it could make a difference in their lives. The grandma’s just very wise! (maybe due to her hard life and experience accumulated over the years? idk)

The grandma is secretly very guilty because she was the one who spoilt her descendants rotten in the first place and her heart aches that they turn out this way. Hearing her grandson talk about her for her inheritance further saddens her boohoo. Woohwan has always been very protected, especially by his mum, because of the incident in his past. When he was very young, he actually witnessed his dad dying before his very eyes. He was standing in the middle of the road, and his dad rushed out to push him out of the way and ended up being the one crashed down by the truck. Actually, over the years Woohwan feels very sorry and guilty too but he doesn’t show it anyway until with the help of Eunsung. I swayed off again =x but there was a similar scenario later on =x when Eunsung was in the middle of the road after quarreling with Woohwan, and the truck came and.. ! he saved her this time round and he was so angry at her =] but I guess it helped to get rid of his horrid memory ^^ or made him face up to it in the end..

in the end =] she gains this awesome understanding filial grandson and a 'granddaughter' too! *hearts*

Then the next day the grandma disappears and say hello the new upside down life of Eunsung’s about to begin.. so there is really a bit of cinderella element in here?

Grandma invites her to her house and proposes that she stays with her and in return she’ll find Eunwoo for her at all costs. In bid to find her brother, despite facing the unhappy faces of the people in the house and being called a thief (because of the misunderstanding since Eunwoo and Woohwan switched their bags on the flight home). She decided to stay and is offered a job at one of the restaurants Grandma owns.

Ok. Then I don’t want to type already xD

but well actually Eunwoo has every right to hate Woohwan because when she tried to ask for her bag back, Woohwan actually made her wait for very long for nothing… the bag is very precious to her because it contains her father’s birthday gift which was the day which she tried to get her bag back. Also, while waiting for him at his hotel, it was the same day her dad died and her stepmom cremated “his body” before she got to see him for the last time. Thus, she sort of blames him. Then after that, when he saw her again, he breaks her phone and believes that she’s a cheater who stole his bag (misunderstanding baaa~). Because of her broken phone, she loses the only way Eunwoo can contact her and coincidentally, he went missing that very day.

After working and living with Eunsung, Woohwan finally realizes that she is not a bluff and learns a lot of things through him. Slowly, he finds out that he has feelings for her but alas, he has been dating the stepsister of Eunsung all the time.

he actually sort of protected her when she was bullied in school =3

However, he doesn’t know that they are “sisters” until a later part of the drama due to the stepmom’s plot. The stepmom who knew about the insurance money swallowed the entire money and drove Eunsung and Eunwoo away, leaving them penniless. When she realized that the father’s still alive, she doesn’t tell him about her chasing them away and spins lies after lies to not let them meet. In the end, her stepsister, Sungmi (who was dating Woohwan all the while since high school?) turns evil too despite being nice earlier and couldn’t stand her mum’s antics and tried to help the brother and sister.

therefore, they are the evil mom and daughter =v=

She turns bad because Woohwan is apparently “her oxygen” and she can’t live without him and when he falls in love with Eunsung, she then sets her up and says that they pretended to not know each other because Eunsung said so (which -_- actually was her mum’s intentions) and that she knew that grandma was rich yadda yadda before she got close to them. Eunsung’s evil stepmom is also the one who caused Eunwoo to be lost in the first place, poo. Enough of them but heh grandma and Woohwan believes in Eunsung, YAY!

Anyway so yeah, its kind of slow moving (just a tad slow) but haha Woohwan and Eunsung finally realizes their feelings for each other (ep 21 onwards?) which is not broadcasted yet.

Its still ongoing and the latest episode 21 has this snippet of episode 22 which shows high potential of them finally getting together, its EGGCITING! ^O^

I guess Woohwan really matured a lot from the whole experience and from knowing Eunsung which is really great, maybe that’s why it took so many episodes. Anyway, theres Junse too, whom Woohwan’s sister adores and is a family friend. He likes Eunsung and is like always there to help her before and after grandma helps her but like always, hes like this angel guy who’s there and is very nice and make things right but.. he’ll never be with Eunsung.

Eunwoo on the very very very other ~~hand (dang how many hands do I have)..~~ end, was first sheltered under this very nice old couple who even paid for his piano lessons despite being not well to do because even though Eunwoo is mentally retarded and a bit slow, he actually has a very good music sense and talent! With piano, he can not sleep, not eat, not.. idk hahah its like his life! Never touch his piano, when he’s infront of it! Anyway when Eunsung reached the old couple's house, Eunwoo disappears again because he was so fascinated by the piano he saw and ended up on the lorry which was transporting it. He is then taken in by the friend of Woohwan, who opens a bar. His musical talent makes the friend take care of him because he uses him to play piano for his bar and even though Woohwan has met Eunwoo quite a few times, he doesn’t know its Eunsung’s missing brother because his -_- friend tells him that Eunwoo’s a son of a cousin. I hope Eunsung and Eunwoo meets soon. But anyway the friendship between Eunwoo and Woohwan is a very funny and cool one! Woohwan actually asked Eunwoo for advice because he was so flustered :D

I cant wait for her to finally find her brother and dad! ^O^

oh and the haha the little characters in the show are quite awesome too, the very irritable mom and sis of Woohwan who turned out to be nice later on, Eunsung's awesome friends who stayed with her, the butler and the manager too! they are all so interesting and.. rounded? XD

AND I THINK I RANTED ENOUGH HAHAHA

I CANT WAIT TO FINISH THIS DRAMA.

One episode a week until Jul26 when it ends is not that bad =]

and finished 20eps .O. and hohoho to my surprise ep21 was subbed the moment I woke up at 1!

and in ep22 they look like they will be together already ^O^
